PK - A lot of hype a lot of expectations, fulfills to some extent...

Aamir has done an awesome comeback post Dhoom 3 & earns the respect back as an Ace actor of bollywood. Every scene he depicts PK as an interesting & lovable character to watch. Another special mention for Sanjay Dutt who is just entertaining every time. Anushka , Saurabh shukla & Sushant singh are too common & stereotype characte
rs.

The movie starts with a bang from Aamir's entry but after a while script reminds of OMG Oh My God which had justified its point on religions followed blindfolded in India. Somewhere the uniqueness of the script which has been a strong point of Rajkumar Hirani movies is missing in this one & becomes quite predictable. Every another dialogue has a message for people which becomes pretty monotonous at times.

PKs dialogue delivery in bhojpuri & his perceptions are plus points. The music is apt & timed well with soft melodies which is enjoyable.

The movie is a satire on India's communalism & politics. Has witty humour & good dialogues which can keep you entertained for a while & is excellent but in bits & pieces only. Some scenes are very much engrossing while some are just to pass time.

Do not expect it to be at par with Munnabhai series or 3 idiots & you will love it. Movie lags novelty but it’s a sensible cinema at least.

Overall a 1 time watch... would rate it as 3 on 5 ***

RANG RASIYA – The Bold and beautiful
A very different subject, a highly bold topic ,sensible & relatable to Indian culture, The movie has been criticised for long for its uncensored scene but kuddos to Nandana Sen to have the guts to do it,
Many heroines in Bollywood claim bold scenes but the lady has actually done a topless scene in the movie with full grace ,the director has justified the relevance of the bold scene
as well, movie is a bit boring in the 2nd half but if u want to go for a sensible cinema u can go for this 1.
The climax of the movie is a question to the hypocrisy of Indian culture which actually prevails as far as sex & nudity is concerned. Good performances by Randeep hooda, Paresh rawal & others. A special acclaim to Nandana sen for the performance & the boldness which she actually possesses compared to any other actresses. Good direction by Ketan Mehta and a unique story to tell...
would give 3*** on 5 for the novelty.

HAIDER - A perfect example of serious & slow cinema...
It bores you to the core by the climax. The movie has a story to tell though but in bits & parts. A fullon documentary on Kashmir & Kashmiri militants.
The 1st half is damn slow & keeps you waiting for the story to unwind. Somewhere the movie takes a pace for 30-40 mins but again disappoints by the end.

A scene in the end where 3 oldies dig
in graveyard & are singing a song 'Aao na' makes you realize that its not even an example of sensible cinema but utter nonsensical cinema ... Somewhere reminds of 'Mission Kashmir' by the end where the would be militant boy haider has a change of heart & accepts peace over revenge :P
Only USP is the commendable performances by the actors like Kay Kay menon, Irfan khan & Tabu ( acted as per their calibre) & Shahid Kapoor has actually done an outstanding performance especially in the 2nd half. Wonder why Shradha Kapoor was there in this long & tiring movie of 2 Hrs 47 Mins duration , would have been better if her character was not introduced the movie would have been short and to the point.
Vishal Bhardwaj needs to work on his story telling style as it has been a failure in the recent times with movies like 7 khoon Maaf , Matru ki bijlee ka mandola & now Haider. Also not that impressive music with him & his wife singing half of the songs as usual.
Neither the music nor the beautiful scenes of Kashmir saves the movie. Watch only if you are a Shahid Kapoor fan or are interested in the lives of Kashmiri Militants. Not an entertaining one, only good performances by the actors who somewhere help to pass the time.
Ratings : 2.5 on 5 (that too keeping the performances in mind)

BHOOTNATH RETURNS, returns with a bang,

A good satire on India's current scenario, showing that people are actually so fed up of corrupt humans that they don't even mind electing a ghost who does good work....
Very rare movies we have without a heroine,a cheap item number, or abusive language, this is 1 of those few, shot in Mumbai ,particularly dharavi portrayed but power pack performances
specially by Mr. Bachchan (respect),Boman Irani (no one suits better in that role) ,the kid and other star-cast (Sanjay Mishra at his best) as well makes the movie a 1 Time Watch,
1st half is amazing (full of entertainment), though the movie goes a bit slow in the 2nd, but has an engrossing story & perfect timing of release(with elections nearing) having lots of funny dialogues, makes the movie a complete entertainer with a good message ...
A sheer treat for Big B's fans (& obviously he has a huge fan following to attract this 1),finally u can go for a good movie with full family :)
would give a 3 on 5 ***
